Introduction
It was in 1982 when I was living in London, England that I first stayed in a Bed and Breakfast. Since then I have always preferred to stay in a B&B rather than a hotel. It’s the “home away from home” atmosphere that I like and the chance to meet with other travelers. Wake up to the smell of fresh baked bread, home fries, the bacon and eggs! Having breakfast together with other guests and sometimes with the host/hostess, gives the chance to exchange travel tips and local information that one doesn’t find in travel brochures. You can find a good local place to dine, a place to shop for local handmade crafts, and other places of interest. You will also get the chance to meet people from other parts of the world.
I came up to Tobermory in 2003, fell in love with the crystal blue water of the Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, the Bruce Trail, the Orchids, the Beautiful Sunset and the Dark Sky, that I keep coming back to the Bruce Peninsula. It has always been my dream to have a Bed and Breakfast when I am tired of the rat race in the big city. In October 2008, the foundation for The Round House B&B was laid.
I hope guests to The Round House B&B will find this home intriguing, comfortable, memories to bring back with them, and will come around again.
